Lebanese superstar Najwa Karam has been announced as the guest of honour at World of Fashion at Mall of the Emirates from October 15-31.

The fashion event, free to the public, will offer a two-week glimpse into the latest fashion trends. Twenty catwalk shows are slated to take place at the mall’s Central Galleria, with brands including Kate Spade, Sandro, Maje, Paule Ka, Juicy Couture, Karen Millen, La Martina, Elie Tahari, Tiffany & Co., BCBG, Halston Heritage and Ted Baker. Etoile and Harvey Nichols will open and close the event. Children will get a show of their own, including looks from Roberto Cavalli Junior, Miss Blumarine and Katakeet.

Make-up artist Bassam Fattouh will host a booth at Mall of the Emirates for beauty demos and makeovers.

World of Fashion will also host Diane von Furstenberg’s travelling exhibition, Journey of a Dress, which celebrates the 40th anniversary of her iconic wrap dress.

Singer Karam, who recently became a staple as a judge on the talent competition programme, Arabs’ Got Talent, will be conversing with audience members during a public conversation on October 22.
