Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was honoured with the Star of the Millennium award at the Big Star Entertainment Awards 2013 in Mumbai on Wednesday. The 71-year-old received the award for his movie Satyagraha.

“The audience stands for me ... So embarrassing to be in front of them. I quickly gesticulate to them to be seated ... some did, others did not ... still embarrassing,” Bachchan posted on his blog Srbachchan.tumblr.com

The event also saw sizzling performances by actors such as Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sunny Leone, Elli Aavram, Nakuul Mehta and Mukti Mohan.

The fourth edition of Big Star Entertainment Awards was co-hosted by comedian Sunil Grover and actor Shreyas Talpade. Other celebrities in attendance included Shah Rukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Rakesh Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Ayan Mukerji, Rohit Shetty and Tigmanshu Dhulia.

On his blog, Bachchan also shared an intriguing photograph of himself from his upcoming fiction show. In the photograph, he is seen lying on the ground with his suit all dusty. “A dust bearing recline! From the serial for TV,” he posted with the photograph.

The actor has been hosting TV reality game show Kaun Banega Crorepati for many years now, but this new and yet untitled show will be his first stint with fiction on television.

The show is directed by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and co-produced by Endemol and Bachchan’s Saraswati Creations. It will air on Sony Entertainment Television.
