Jolina going gaga
Jolina Magdangal's makeover seem to have backfired. She was out of spotlight for a while for a supposed grand relaunch. The repackaging happened two weeks back on the noontime show, SOP, but the "new" Magdangal wasn't well-received — a poor copy of Lady Gaga was one of the harsh comments made by critics. But Magdangal is unfazed, "I'm just being who I am," she said.
Magdangal, who was known for her colourful personality in her younger years, even before Lady Gaga burst on stage, added: "It's just a more mature character that they are going to see, a lot more attitude, and I know it will take some getting used to, but I'm happy with where I'm going here."

Seems like young superstar Angel Locsin is winning more plaudits abroad than in the Philippines. Last year, she got a nomination at the International Emmys, though she didn't win, she at least got recognised. This year, Locsin has been nominated in the 2010 Shorty Awards — the Oscars of the tweeting/blogging community.
Angel, tweeting @143redangel, was shortlisted as one of the finalists in the celebrity category.
Winners of the 2010 Shorty Awards will be announced on March 3.
