Dubai: Need proof that 2013 will end with a bang in Dubai? tabloid! can reveal that the Bachchans are headed this way.

On December 26, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will accompany her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan as they jointly fulfil their role as the faces of brand Kalyan Jewellers.

The roll call isn’t over. An array of stars from South India including Kerala’s Manju Warrier, Telugu actor Nagarjuna, Tamil cinema’s Prabhu Ganesan and Kannadiga actor Shivraj Kumar — all friends of the brand — will be in town the same day.

“We are going to open six stores in the UAE on that day and each of these stars will be inaugurated by one of our brand ambassadors,” said T S Kalyanaraman, chairman and managing director of Kalyan Jewellers.

While Aishwarya will snip the ribbon for the store in Ghusais, Malayali actress Warrier will be present at all store openings. Nagarjuna will inaugurate the store in Abu Dhabi, and Bachchan Sr is likely to attend the store opening in Meena Bazaar in the evening.

Kalyan Jewellers is a family-run enterprise headquartered in Kerala and has branches across India.

The UAE events will give the stars’ fans a chance to see their screen idols in person.

“This is going to be the biggest event of the year. We will create a stage before our store for the public to see these stars,” said Ramesh Kalyanaraman, executive director of the brand and son of the chairman. “We are also arranging a huge security force to handle the crowd. There will be adequate man power employed keeping in mind the popularity of the stars," he added.

Aishwarya has reportedly been paid millions to be a part of the company’s advertising campaign.

“We can’t disclose numbers but with the legacy and goodwill that these stars bring, it cannot be quantified in money,” said Kalyanaraman Jr.
