Dubai: Teen heartthrob and graphic novel author Chad Michael Murray will be one of the guests at the first Middle East Film and Comic Con to be held in Dubai on April 20 and 21.

The pop culture and entertainment exhibition, modeled around other comic cons worldwide, will see artists and comic fans come together to share their passion and participate in activities and interactions at the Mina Seyahi Hall at the Dubai International Marine Club.

Murray will be in town to promote his graphic novel Everlast.

 

Other guests confirmed include Alvin Lee, known for his Street Fighter book series, Sammy Clark who sang the Arabic theme song for the Grendizer series of anime cartoons from the 80s, American writer and comic book author Mark Sable and manga comic author Yishan Li.

 

"We wanted to bring the comic con experience to fans here in the Middle East," said Arafaat Ali Khan of ExtraCake PR, organiser of the event.
