Superstar Amitabh Bachchan attended the pre-wedding ceremony of Samajwadi Party chairperson Mulayam Singh Yadav’s grandnephew and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Yadav’s daughter in Saifai, Uttar Pradesh.
Bachchan, who flew in from Mumbai, wore a white kurta pyjama with a shawl over his shoulder.
The Shamitabh actor entered the tilak ceremony venue with folded hands and was greeted by Yadav.
The actor, 72, took to Twitter in the morning to inform his followers about his journey.
“Took off for Saifai for wedding event. Bad visibility Flight diverted to Lucknow. Waiting for clearance. Safety better,” Bachchan tweeted.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the event in addition to other political leaders.
The Manipuri MP Tej Pratap Yadav and Lalu’s youngest daughter Raj Laxmi will tie the knot in Delhi on February 26.
