Pop phenomenon Justin Bieber may not have been at the Gulf News studio last week when droves of ardent "Beliebers" turned up to show their love and adoration for their teen idol. But the star reciprocated his love later - albeit virtually - in equal measure.
The fans had gathered ahead of the UAE release of the film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never 3D, which was released in the UAE last Thursday, after tabloid! had launched a search for die-hard beliebers in the UAE.
The same day, the YouTube break-out star took to Facebook and Twitter to show his adoration: "Never Say Never opens today in the UAE... shoutout to all the fans out there. I SEE U!", he posted on his official FB page. Along with it, he posted a link of the Gulf News video which shows dozens of his frenzied fans waxing lyrical about him, sending him messages and dancing to his songs.
That post has so far garnered 3,602 comments and 29,977 likes.
Bieber also took to Twitter the same day: "#NSN3D opens in the UAE today! big bro @UsherRaymondIV just left there. Shoutout to all the fans out there. I see u!" he posted, linking the same video.
The gulfnews.com video has received 27,000 plays so far.
