Bollywood biggest celebrities put a pause on filming, promotions and some rivalries to hug it out and join in the Diwali festivities. A number of parties saw the industry’s elite come out in style and celebrate into the night, not forgetting to pout for the token selfies that have become the norm.

While producer-director Karan Johar dolled up his real children, Yash and Roohi Johar, for a meeting with his reel-children Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, it was Aamir Khan’s lavish Diwali bash that drove the trigger-happy paparazzi into frenzy when the actor hugged it out with Shah Rukh Khan, while Gauri Khan looked on.

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor’s Diwali party was the other hot ticket that saw Saif Ali Khan, Kareen Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha in attendance.

Amid the fanfare, the Bachchan family opted to skip the festivities this year following the death of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father earlier this year. However, the first family of Bollywood did pose for the camera in a Diwali picture perfect moment.
