Authorities in Dubai are assisting the family of Indian actress Sridevi, who died of cardiac arrest in Dubai last night.
Sources told Gulf News the legendary actress had collapsed in the bathroom.
Her body is currently at the police headquarters morgue in Al Ghusais.
Update: Indian business tycoon Anil Ambani has reportedly offered to fly the Bollywood legend's remains back to India on his private jet from Dubai.
Meanwhile, India's Consul General of India in Dubai Vipul told Gulf News: “We are in touch with Dubai Police and other authorities to expedite the repatriation of the body.”
Though the wedding function of nephew Mohit Marwah for which Sridevi and family came over to the UAE was held in Ras Al Khaimah, sources say the actress was later reportedly staying at a hotel operated by the Jumeirah Group in Dubai.
