Dubai: Less than a month ago, Dubai marked the two-year countdown until Expo 2020 Dubai. Today, the team has unveiled drone footage of the 4.38 square km Expo site in Dubai South.

The 40-second clip shows a glimpse of what the three Thematic Pavilions — Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability — will look like in 2020.

On their social media platforms, the video was released with the caption: “Take a flying journey over the #Expo2020 site and see what the Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability Pavilions will look like during the six-month celebration of innovation.”

According to the Expo 2020 Dubai’s official website, each pavilion will represent different sectors.

Under Opportunity, sectors like education, employment and new industries would be highlighted. This pavilion would be at the heart of development, to ensure that “new horizons are opened to individuals and communities, to help them meet their current needs and future aspirations”.

Mobility would focus on connecting people, goods and ideas, with transportation, digital connectivity and travel being highlighted at this pavilion.

Finally, the idea behind the Sustainability pavilion is all about how society grows “by doing more with less, while protecting and preserving our environment for future generations”. Green economy, sustainable cities and natural ecosystems would be their main focus.
