Milan Fashion Week continued to deliver striking moments as designers unveiled their Fall/Winter 2025 collections, each bringing a unique perspective to the runway. From Gianvito Rossi’s golden embellishments to Dolce & Gabbana’s effortlessly cool aesthetic, the season showcased an intriguing mix of craftsmanship, nostalgia, and modernity.

Dolce & Gabbana: The Cool Girl Aesthetic

Dolce & Gabbana embraced the off-duty model aesthetic for Fall/Winter 2025, crafting a collection that balanced effortlessness with high-fashion edge. Inspired by some of the industry’s most in-demand faces, the collection was a tribute to the ‘Cool Girl’ - the kind of woman who exudes confidence without trying too hard.

The runway reflected this attitude, featuring relaxed tailoring, oversized outerwear, and a muted color palette of blacks, greys, and earthy tones. Lingerie-inspired pieces were seamlessly integrated into daytime looks, paired with knee-high combat boots and statement sunglasses that obscured most of the face. Beanies and casually draped tweed jackets reinforced the sense of nonchalance, capturing the essence of the model-off-duty style.

With a soundtrack curated by DJ Victoria De Angelis, the show had an electric energy that underscored the rebellious yet polished aesthetic. Dolce & Gabbana’s latest collection was a love letter to those who master the art of looking effortlessly chic while still making a statement.

Missoni: A Tapestry of Textures

Missoni’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection celebrated the house’s signature knitwear in a fresh and contemporary way. The collection played with textures and layers, offering a fusion of traditional craftsmanship with a modern sensibility. Bold, geometric prints were woven into maxi dresses, structured coats, and cozy knit sets, while a neutral base of creams, browns, and blacks was punctuated by unexpected bursts of electric blue and fiery red.

Fringed scarves and oversized ponchos added movement to the looks, creating an effortless, free-spirited feel. The collection also introduced new silhouettes, including sharply tailored knit suits and sculptural outerwear that redefined Missoni’s classic codes. The house’s signature zigzag pattern was subtly reimagined in a softer, more fluid form, proving that Missoni’s heritage can evolve while maintaining its timeless appeal.

Loro Piana: The Way We Were

Loro Piana’s Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection revisits heritage to reaffirm timeless values, drawing inspiration from vast landscapes and the brand’s deep connection to nature. Influences from Argentina, the Scottish Highlands, and Australia shape a refined yet functional wardrobe, where horse-riding elements meet effortless elegance.

Earthy tones dominate - brandy, vintage brown, creamy vanilla - across cashmere, silk, and Merino wool. Signature pieces include the Spagna jacket in cropped and knee-length variations, tailored separates, and quilted outerwear. Eveningwear embraces classic black and white in silk satin and jacquard.

The collection also debuts Royal Lightness, a luxurious silk and Merino wool blend, woven into ethereal knitwear and tailored designs. Accessories, from equestrian-inspired boots to the new Extra Bag L23 and Needle Bag, enhance the brand’s signature fusion of luxury and functionality.

Moschino: A Playful Paradox

Adrian Appiolaza continued Moschino’s tradition of irreverent fashion with a collection that blended irony, excess, and social commentary. Entitled Tools of the Trade, the Fall/Winter 2025 collection explored themes of labor and consumerism through a surrealist lens.

Models strutted the runway in glossy black bin bag-inspired dresses, oversized coats that resembled packing materials, and T-shirts emblazoned with ‘SOS’ and images of the Earth. The show embraced a sense of theatricality, with accessories like miniature globe clutches and corsets made to resemble deconstructed workwear. The house’s signature humor was in full force, with exaggerated silhouettes and playful juxtapositions that challenged perceptions of luxury fashion.

Despite the whimsical execution, the collection paid homage to Franco Moschino’s legacy of using fashion as a platform for political and social discourse. Bold floral prints, ruffled flamenco-inspired gowns, and the iconic Smiley motif offered a sense of familiarity amidst the spectacle, proving that Moschino remains the ultimate master of fashion as a statement.

As Milan Fashion Week continues, designers are proving that Fall/Winter 2025 is about contrast - mixing heritage with modernity, opulence with minimalism, and classic silhouettes with bold new interpretations. Stay tuned for more standout moments from the runway.
