Dubai: Google has launched a dedicated hub for Muslims to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan.

The hub — www.google.com/ramadan — features a wide variety of services and the ability to watch live streaming from Makkah and Madina.

The new page also features suggestions on how to catch up with friends and family no matter where you are, and there are select videos from YouTube and the chance to drop in on a live cook-along called Hangouts with celebrity chefs from around the world. And it also shows the best commute routes home at the end of the day.

In addition to Hangouts, users will also be able to see how people around the world are celebrating Ramadan. Users can search for the hashtag #breakingfast# on Google+ to see the latest stream of posts and photos. Users can also send in their own special moments by simply sharing their favourite photo or post it on Google+ tagging their post with #breakingfast#.

Another feature provided is the ‘Trending searches’ which will offer insights as to the search habits of users in countries across Mena and South East Asia. These trending searches will showcase the topics of interest across various categories.
