The Trio Book is a tablet, a laptop and a fully functional base equipped with both Android Jelly Bean 4.2 and Windows 8 operating systems. It is powered by a fourth-generation Intel Core processor and features a 11.6-inch, full HD, ten-point multitouch screen.
The TX201 has a five-megapixel rear camera with the ability to record 1080p HD video and a 720p HD front camera. It has a power port, two USB 3.0 ports, an audio jack, a display port and a micro HDMI 1.4 port. In tablet mode, it features an additional audio jack, a micro USB port and a microSD card slot.
In tablet mode, the device is powered by a dual-core Atom Z2560 chip with 2GB memory and 16GB of storage – stats expected from a reputable tablet in today’s market. However, when you dock it, it gets really interesting. The keyboard dock features an Intel Core i5 processor with 4GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive, making it a very
powerful laptop.
Users can use both operating systems simultaneously. When docked the tablet serves as a screen for the Windows 8 OS. If required, users can detach the screen, connect the dock to an external display via
the HDMI port and continue using Windows 8 on the dock while using the Android tablet separately.
