Artificial intelligence to dominate Middle East Consumer Electronics Show 2025

Kicking off next week, the Middle East Consumer Electronics Show (MECES) offers both trade and public a glimpse into the future of smart home technology. The event, hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, will take place at the Dubai Festival City Exhibition Center from November 26-28 and is expected to showcase more than 300 exhibitors presenting their innovative products.

Despite being in only its second year, the show is already becoming an important addition to the local MICE circuit as the region emerges as an important trading platform for Chinese consumer electronics. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, China exported home appliances worth $41.4 billion to the Middle East, and MECES will act as a further bridge for buyers in the region to partner with Chinese businesses.

Since the theme is AI for All, this year’s event is expected to demonstrate the effect that artificial intelligence can have on our everyday lives.

AI-powered innovations

Visitors to the 2025 MECES can expect to see a wide range of AI-powered products designed to make homes smarter and lives easier. Helpful home essentials on display will include non-stick pans equipped with AI temperature indicators for precise oil heating and smoke control, as well as Haier’s AI-enabled refrigerator featuring voice-activated ingredient management and recipe suggestions.

Other products not to be missed include Hisense’s adaptive AI TV that optimises picture and sound quality based on ambient lighting. Meanwhile, when it comes to climate control, visitors can discover products such as Gree’s learning-enabled air conditioner, which personalises cooling and heating preferences, and Midea’s AI air purifier, which automatically adjusts filtration modes based on air quality to create a healthier environment.

To make finding these products seamless, MECES will be divided into six zones. These zones will cater to smart home appliances, kitchenware, personal care devices, audio-visual equipment, communication technology, and cross-border e-commerce.

Throughout the three-day event, exhibitors will debut exciting new products, including everything from smart, interconnected refrigerators and washing machines to premium imaging TVs. Attendees at the expo will witness the best in consumer electronics as corporate giants such as Haier, Hisense, Midea, and Gree share the stage with innovative start-ups, giving visitors the chance to see emerging players and established brands converge in one space.

The Middle East Exhibition

The CCPIT (Middle East) Green and Innovation Cooperation Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the Middle East Exhibition) will be held concurrently. Spread across 1,000 square metres, The Middle East Exhibition is hosted by CCPIT and organised by the CCPIT Commercial Sub-council. It showcases innovative Chinese products and cutting-edge technologies, including new energy products, vehicles and accessories, artificial intelligence, machinery and equipment, medical supplies, home appliances and electronics, premium consumer goods, and creative products. Aimed at helping Chinese businesses expand into the UAE market, it will host economic and trade cooperation forums to expand their international networks and deepen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. Professional buyers from UAE organisations and institutions are expected to participate in the exhibition.

With so much on offer, MECES is expected to attract more than 8,000 professionals, both internationally and from the region. Those expected to attend include distributors, retailers, and industry experts who will enjoy an environment designed to foster global partnerships for the future of smart living and beyond.

While innovation is at the core of the event and AI is the driving force, MECES 2025 offers something for everyone. Whether you are a trade professional seeking partnerships or a consumer looking to explore the latest advancements in home electronics, this year’s revolutionary show is set to provide a glimpse into a smarter, easier, and more sustainable future.
