Dubai: A Syrian expatriate has scored a million-dollar windfall in the latest Dubai Duty Free draw on Tuesday, raffle organisers confirmed.

Al Nemah, holder of ticket number 4710, was declared as the winner of the $1 million jackpot in the Millennium Millionaire draw held at Dubai International Airport.

The Dubai-based resident from Syria, however, could not be reached and has yet to be informed of his winnings.

The Syrian is the 12th million-dollar winner declared this year. Out of the 12 winning lottery players, seven are Indians and the rest are from different countries, including Pakistan, Canada and Jordan.
