Here are six facts about Dubai Fountain as it prepares to close for renovation

The Dubai Fountain is the largest performing fountain in the world, spanning 275 metres across the 30-acre Burj Lake.
Opened in 2009, it can shoot water up to 152.4 metres into the air, equivalent to a 50-story building.
The fountain is illuminated by 6,600 lights and 25 colour projectors, creating breathtaking visual effects.
The fountain dances to a variety of music, from classical and Arabic melodies to global hits like Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
At any given moment, the fountain can spray up to 83,000 litres of water into the air.
The Dubai Fountain is undergoing a five-month renovation starting on 19 April 2025, with upgrades to its lighting, sound, and choreography.
The fountain is set to undergo a significant five-month renovation and will reopen in October.
