URGENT NEED FOR SUSTAINED AID TO GAZA: In the face of immense challenges in Gaza, the commitment to a "continued flow" of aid from the White House is important. Currently, the volume of aid entering Gaza is only 4% of the daily average before recent hostilities, creating a dire humanitarian crisis with shortages of food, water, medicine, and fuel. The recent aid delivery, while a welcome relief, falls far short of the pressing requirements. Despite ongoing aid efforts, Israeli airstrikes continue in Gaza, emphasising the need to lift restrictions on fuel imports to alleviate the suffering of the local population. Sustained aid, therefore, underscores the imperative of humanitarian considerations transcending political differences in these trying times. Gaza stands at a precipice, and the continuous flow of aid serves as a beacon of hope in these challenging times. (By Sadiq Shaban, Opinion Editor)
