UN VOTE ON GAZA RESOLUTION PUSHED AGAIN: The UN Security Council has once again postponed the vote on a Gaza resolution, now scheduled for today. Drafted by the UAE, the resolution has faced multiple delays due to disagreements, particularly over the wording needed to secure a positive vote from the US. Key negotiation points include language regarding the "cessation of hostilities" and the establishment of a UN-monitored mechanism in the Gaza Strip, per media reports. Diplomatic tensions are high as negotiators strive to avoid a potential US veto, with the main sticking point reportedly revolving around the inspection and monitoring of humanitarian aid entering Gaza. The ongoing delays highlight the intricate challenges of addressing the Gaza situation through international cooperation. (By Sadiq Shaban, Opinion Editor)
