WE MUST DRIVE UP E-SCOOTER SAFETY: Using an electric scooter to get around is easy and cost-effective – but it can also be dangerous if we don’t follow the rules. Authorities have repeatedly warner riders not to take safety rules lightly. The latest advisory from Dubai Police serves as a reminder and opportunity for the community to commit to everyone’s wellbeing on the road. SOUTH AFRICA DOMINATING WITH ALL-ROUND CRICKET: South Africa is once again proving their prowess in the World Cup with an impressive display of aggressive batting. Shedding the unwanted label of "Chokers," they are determined to break their World Cup drought that began in 1992. Their powerful batting is complemented by a strong and diverse bowling lineup, primarily led by pacers. Their athleticism in the field adds to their well-rounded game. The only hiccup this time was their loss to the Netherlands while chasing a decent target. South Africa must now focus on avoiding further slip-ups as the league stage progresses. (By A.K.S. SHOULDN’T STARS BEHAVE BETTER? Celebrities living under the spotlight are expected to maintain high standards of public behavior and conduct, but it seems like South Indian actor Vinayakan missed that memo. Earlier this morning, news broke that the 'Jailor' actor was arrested by the Kerala police for causing a disturbance at a Kochi police station while allegedly under the influence of alcohol. In a video that's now making the rounds, a visibly animated Vinayakan is seen creating a scene at the precinct and was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for a mandatory health check-up. Such incidents don't reflect well on anyone, particularly actors who are constantly under scrutiny. We hope that this serves as a sobering reminder for Vinayakan and other actors who might believe they are above the law. (By Manjusha Radhakrishnan, Entertainment Editor)
