From the editors: World’s first COVID-19 vaccine hub in Dubai; No knockout punches in US presidential debate

WORLD’S FIRST COVID-19 VACCINE HUB IN DUBAI. In another pioneering venture, Dubai has set up the world’s first COVID-19 vaccine storage hub in the emirate. Emirates announced on Thursday that its freight division will use its Emirates SkyCentral facility at Dubai World Central as a dedicated hub for cold chain storage and distribution of the vaccine. Dubai’s unique location serves as a major advantage for this purpose, as the emirate is within an eight-hour flying radius for two-thirds of the world’s population. NO KNOCKOUT PUNCHES IN US PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE. The final US presidential debate between President Donald Trump and former vice-president Joe Biden was a much calmer version of their first stand-off. There were no knockout punches, and with the candidates' microphones turned off at times, their facial expressions often did the talking. Both Trump and Biden offered starkly divergent views on a range of topics – the fight against COVID-19, race, climate change, families and national security. But with more than 47 million votes already cast and with fewer undecided voters at this point than in previous years, it is unlikely that the debate will influence voters on November 3. RESCUE ACT. Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar starred in a great rescue act to take Sunrisers Hyderabad to an eight-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in their IPL match in Dubai. Chasing a target of 155, Sunrisers were off to a disastrous start as Jofra Archer removed David Warner and Jonny Bairstow with only 16 runs on the board in his first two overs. PORN OR PRUDE? Kangana Ranaut is starting a new conversation even as other rows she’s embroiled in refuse to die down. On Thursday, the ‘Queen’ actor called streaming platforms little more than porn hubs. While it is true that OTT channels offer more freedom of content, are moviemakers taking advantage of that freedom or is the prude in the watcher just coming to the fore?
