UAE SCHOOL ADMISSIONS REMAIN STRONG: In a strong validation of the UAE’s management of the COVID-19 pandemic, a recent report has shown that enrolment in Dubai’s private schools have remained strong. This shows that parents in the emirate are confident about the health and safety measures being taken for protecting their children in schools. The only drop was in the early enrolments, where the parents’ concern for their children’s health was considerably higher. CHINA ROCKET DEBRIS TO CRASH INTO EARTH THIS WEEKEND - BUT NOBODY KNOWS WHERE: Launched in late April, a huge piece of China’s Long March 5B rocket is set to crash back to Earth this weekend – but nobody knows where it will hit or exactly when the impact will be. The 98-foot long, 18-tonne section of the rocket - one of the biggest items in years to have an undirected dive into the atmosphere - is expected to re-enter Earth tonight or early tomorrow. Experts do not know the exact time or location of the 10-stories tall piece which weighs as much as two school buses. It is currently tumbling through space at 18,000 miles per hour and its uncontrolled orbit is causing concern. China is saying it will probably land in the sea, but there is a chance that the debris could hit New York, Los Angeles, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, or Beijing. Most of it should burn up when it makes its final plunge but many fear a shower of scorching debris could hit a populated area. All eyes will certainly be on the sky tonight. Newcastle United derailed Leicester City’s bid to qualify for next season’s Champions League with a 4-2 win on Friday night that all but secured their place in the Premier League. Defeat left Leicester third, two points in front of Chelsea and five ahead of West Ham, with both London clubs having a game in hand over the Foxes. Only the top four at the end of the Premier League season qualify for the Champions League. Chelsea can go third with a win on Saturday. However, that is easier said than done as they face Manchester City, who will claim the Premier League title with victory themselves in a clash that is a dress rehearsal of the Champions League final.
