Time to get children vaccinated: As the UAE is gradually easing restrictions in line with the COVID-19 guidelines, it is time to get children vaccinated to ensure safety for all. Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) has announced that the children aged 12 and above can now be inoculated with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine which is available at all 60 vaccination Seha centres across the country. The facilities are also continuing to offer the Sinopharm vaccine to residents 16 years and older. Argentina announces lockdown as pandemic rages: With Argentina’s second COVID-19 wave breaking records over the last week in terms of new infections and deaths, President Alberto Fernandez (pictured) announced the country will tighten pandemic lockdown measures. The strict measures will begin tomorrow until May 31 where schools and non-essential businesses will close and social, religious and sporting events will be banned. The country posted 35,884 new COVID-19 cases yesterday after hitting a record high 39,652 on Wednesday. Under 5 per cent of the 45 million population has been fully vaccinated. "We are living the worst moment since the pandemic began," Fernandez said. "Today as never before we must all take care of ourselves to avoid all the losses that we can." ‘The Wall’ set to take charge of Indian team in Sri Lanka: For the Indian cricket fans who wanted to see Rahul Dravid ‘The Wall’ take over as India coach, their wishes would come true – albeit for a brief while. Dravid, who had been the driving force behind the pipeline of new generation talent during his stint with the Under-19 India and India A teams, is set to accompany the Indian squad to Sri Lanka for two white ball series in July.
