SUCCESS OF GOLDEN VISAS BEAR TESTAMENT TO UAE’S COMMITMENT TO INCLUSIVE SOCIETY: It’s been nine months since the UAE introduced Golden Visas for certain categories of talented professionals and businesspersons across all nationalities. Within this short span of time, Golden Visa holders are unanimous in their opinion that this special category of UAE residence permits has indeed had a hugely positive impact on their lives and also on the lives of those who are directly connected with them. From making self-sponsorship possible to easing travel into and out of the UAE, Golden Visas offer a world of benefits, the full impact of which is being felt with every passing day since this path-breaking privilege was introduced. While making the country an even more attractive destination to highly-skilled and accomplished professionals, the Golden Visa scheme has allowed unprecedented flexibility in terms of movement and in pursuit of professional excellence. This is yet again proof of the country’s visionary leadership’s success in building an inclusive society that stops at nothing when it comes to attracting, developing and retaining the best of human talent and intellectual capital. WHAT’S IN A NAME? A WHOLE LOT, IF YOU ARE CALLED ‘WOLF’: Eyebrows shot up when American reality star Kylie Jenner declared last month that she would name her second child 'Wolf'. While we are all for parents' prerogative to choose the name for their children, thrusting your child with an unusual name like 'Wolf' meant that they left their kid little chance to survive high school. But good sense seems to have prevailed. Today, Jenner announced that she has revoked her decision to name her child 'Wolf' because he didn't look like one . And boy, are we relieved. A part of us is secretly grateful that the child took matters into his own hands and used his cuteness as his biggest weapon. [COMMENT BY: Manjusha Radhakrishnan, Assistant Editor Features]
