More than 5,000 visitors are expected to attend the event over the three days of its duration, starting today. ALL ROADS WILL LEAD TO DOHA- AND FLIGHTS TOO: Football lovers in the UAE and Gulf have reasons to be pleased by this week’s developments, with carriers deploying more flights to Doha come late November, when the action unfolds for the matches that will lead to the winner of the Fifa World Cup 2022 edition. The announcements of new flights by the likes of flydubai and Saudia are timely. They serve notice of what’s available for all those wanting to hop over to catch a match time to plan. These new frequencies will also reduce the chances of ticket rates soaring into the Dh6,000-Dh7,000 realms, as many had been fearing for some time now. Will more flights be added between now and November by more airlines? Anything would help if the price of a ticket to Doha rests easy on the pockets. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL: REVENGE ON LIVERPOOL’S MIND: Revenge will be on the minds of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool who are seeking to cap a remarkable season by avenging their 2018 defeat against Real Madrid when the sides meet again in the Champions League final in Paris on Saturday. ‘’ We have a score to settle,’’ remarked Mo Salah, who was felled by a cynical shoulder charge by Sergio Ramos and had to leave the field in tears.
