NATIONS LEAGUE: FOR HARRY KANE, IT’S GOAL NO.50 FOR ENGLAND: It was left to England captain Harry Kane, and his strike-rate with the penalties, to share honours with traditional foes Germany in a 1-1 draw in their Group 3 Uefa Nations League match in Munich. It was, incidentally, Kane’s 50th international goal when he struck after being brought down in the box five minutes from time. Earlier, Jonas Hofmann’s second-half strike looked like it would condemn England to a second successive loss in the tournament, but Kane made sure that would not be the case. The new Uefa tournament may have it’s share of detractors, but ensures a rich feast in store for lovers of internationals during the downtime for the clubs.[COMMENT BY: Gautam Bhattacharyya, Senior Associate Editor]
