HOW DO YOU PLAN TO GO TO EXPO 2020 DUBAI?: Expo 2020 Dubai hitting 20 million visits on Saturday is indeed a milestone. With just 11 days left for it to draw to a close, the record rush is understandable. In fact, organisers made a special announcement yesterday , saying they expected a huge volume of cars in all parking zones, because of which they urged visitors to take alternate means of transport , including Dubai taxis or ride hailing services like Uber and Careem. The public was also reminded of the ride-and-park service from Jebel Ali Metro Station. Given that more and more people would visit the world’s most happening event, it would be prudent to pay take the advice during the coming days too. [COMMENT BY: Sharmila Dhal, UAE Editor]

HOW KANYE WEST HAS BECOME PERSONA NON GRATA: We can’t say it has come as much of a surprise that rapper Kanye West has been barred from performing at the Grammys this year despite earning five nominations. After picking a feud with awards host Trevor Noah and getting himself temporarily suspended from Instagram in the bargain, West’s recent public tirades against his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend, ‘SNL’ host Pete Davidson, would see any event organiser reach for the antacid in fear the rapper could let loose on stage. Ultimately though, West being dropped from the lineup of performers and the awards itself is a loss for the talent that he is and his fans. [COMMENT BY: Bindu Rai, Entertainment Editor]

ENGLAND ON VERGE OF WOMEN'S WORLD CUP SEMIFINAL: Women’s World Cup champions England had put up a less than impressive defence of their trophy in the tournament by winning only one of their first four games. They needed a win against the hosts New Zealand at Eden Park to remain in the competition and they go it - but it sure was a close finish. They secured a tense one-wicket victory and are now on course for a place in the semi-finals. Nat Sciver and Sophia Dunkley were well on the way of chasing 204 with their stand of 70 but then came a chaotic collapse. They lost 5 wickets for a measly 20 runs and were on the verge of defeat on 196-9. It would have been a shambolic exit for England who won the trophy in 2017. They needed 8 runs from wicket-keeper Charlie Dean and pacer Anya Shrubsole - who bowled the team to victory in the final against India. And it was Shrubsole who proved the match winner again as she smashed a boundary to bring the scores level and from the next ball she hit the winning run to send England level on points with India and New Zealand. As exciting as it was to watch, England will need to make sure they improve on all fronts if they are to successfully defend their title. [COMMENT BY: Imran Malik, Assistant Sports Editor]
