TOSS MAY DECIDE WHO WINS T20 WORLD CUP BETWEEN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND: It’s the T20 World Cup final tonight but it doesn’t feature any of the favourites. Instead of England, India, Pakistan or West Indies, we’ll be watching New Zealand play Australia at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. That doesn’t mean it won’t be a good game. On the contrary, both teams provided thrilling semifinal performances to book their spot in the showpiece. New Zealand fans may not want to be reminded of the fact that they have never beaten Australia in any knockout match. They have played each in 17 quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals and the Aussies have won 16. The one that the Black Caps won was not a knockout but the first of the best-of-five finals in 1981, a series that New Zealand lost. Interestingly, neither captain is firing on all cylinders with the bat - Kane Williamson has scored just 131 runs while Aaron Finch has 119. Will the skippers come good and score big tonight? Well, there’s no better place to show your quality than the final. But it may be the toss that decides the match and with Finch winning five to Williamson’s two it appears the Aussies have luck on their side…[COMMENT BY: Imran Malik, Assistant Editor]
