FOOD SAFETY INSPECTION IN SCHOOLS: In a proactive move to ensure the safety of food within school canteens, the Dubai Municipality has embarked on a comprehensive campaign as schools reopen. Over 350 on-site inspections have been conducted, covering both public and private educational institution canteens in Dubai. These inspections rigorously assess compliance with the Emirate's food safety standards and health precautions. These periodic inspections assess various aspects, including food safety standards, storage conditions, temperature control during food preparation, and thorough cleaning of fruits and vegetables. Additionally, inspectors evaluate canteens' adherence to health requirements and promote personal and public hygiene standards in educational settings. The Municipality is dedicated to upholding the highest food safety levels in educational institutions, enhancing students' health, safety, and overall quality of life. SAUDI AND RUSSIA GO FOR UNILATERAL OIL PRODUCTION CUTS: Saudi Arabia and Russia have extended their unilateral oil production cuts through the end of the year, aiming to bolster the fragile oil market. OPEC will continue reducing its production by 1 million barrels per day (bpd) until December, while Russia will maintain its export reduction of 300,000 bpd for the same duration. These voluntary cuts will be subject to monthly reviews for potential adjustments, in line with Saudi Arabia's goal to stabilize the oil market. Global crude markets are tightening, with demand nearing record levels, and prices rebounding despite concerns about China's economic growth. Oil prices ticked up in early Asian trade on Wednesday after rising over 1 per cent in the previous session. Brent crude futures rose by 14 cents to $90.18 a barrel at 0215 GMT. SEPARATING THE ART FROM THE ARTIST: AN ETERNAL CONUNDRUM: Hollywood director Woody Allen, who has faced accusations of molesting his daughter, Dylan, remains one of the most controversial figures in today's cinema. His movies are undeniably brilliant, but enjoying his work often comes with a sense of guilt. At the Venice Film Festival, the audience grappled with this dilemma as they greeted him with both enthusiastic cheers and vehement jeers during the presentation of his film 'Coup De Chance.' Scuffles even broke out when protestors climbed over the red carpet and jeered him. This stark contrast highlights the ongoing challenge of separating the art from the artist. While we always hope to strike that delicate balance, Allen's continued controversy serves as a stark reminder that public figures can never evade accountability.
