IT’S ‘DESTINATION DUBAI’ WHEN IT COMES TO HIGHER STUDIES: Dubai as a destination for higher studies is now well-established. After all, more than 85 per cent of the 28,200 students at Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park are from overseas, as a recent study has revealed. That these foreign students come from 80 different countries speaks volumes for the global recognition of the standard of education that is provided here. In fact, many of the universities in the UAE rank have figured in top 100 universities in the QS World University rankings. (By Sharmila Dhal, UAE Editor).

15-YEAR-OLD NWANERI BECOME YOUNGEST PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYER: Ethan Nwaneri became the youngest ever footballer to play in the English Premier League last night. The 15-year-old English attacking midfielder was brought on by Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta in the last few minutes against Brentford. Arsenal have been hit with a series of injuries and were without Martin Odegaard and Oleksandr Zinchenko which left them short of midfield options therefore Arteta had to include Nwaneri as one of his subs. And with the team cruising to a 3-0 victory it was the ideal time to bring on the teenager to allow him his first taste of Premier League football. Gunners fans will hope he continues his development and follows the likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka to become another young star at the club. (By Imran Malik, Assistant Sports Editor)
