DUBAI GOES EXTRA MILE FOR HEALTH: Tomorrow, November 6, thousands of people will cycle on Sheikh Zayed Road for Dubai Ride, the annual flagship event of Dubai Fitness Challenge. For those who have no bicycle, Roads and Transport Authority and Careem have teamed up to provide rent-free bikes for the occasion. This shows the deep care and proactive efforts of the emirate in promoting community health. Let's support this initiative by turning up bright and early for the Ride. WORLD MUST HELP CHECK CHOLERA CASES IN MIDEAST: Cholera is sweeping across Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. Lebanon last month reported the first cholera case in nearly 30 years. With devastated infrastructure, turmoil and housing large populations of people, who have been displaced by conflict living in tents and have no access to safe drinking water, these nations are struggling to cope with the deadly disease. The outbreaks of hundreds of thousands of cases are a major setback to global efforts to eradicate the disease. WHO has been working with health authorities to help bolster their response. Unicef said it urgently needs $40.5 million to continue its work in Lebanon and Syria. MAN CITY BOSS GUARDIOLA TIPS NEWCASTLE FOR TITLE CHALLENGE: Following their solid start to the new season, Pep Guardiola believes that Newcastle United can mount a serious title challenge this season. The Manchester City boss has been impressed by his fellow manager Eddie Howe and the way he has transformed the team a little over a year since the club’s Saudi Arabian-backed takeover. The Toon Army has been playing some excellent football and have climbed up to fourth in the English Premier League table. Guardiola says they are one of six sides who pose a threat to his team’s bid for a third straight title. CHANGING FACE OF TV: It’s the end of the road for HBO show ‘Westworld’, which has been cancelled after four seasons. The mind-bending series was a hit when it first released but has failed to draw the kind of viewership it once used to. This might be due to the quality of the writing possibly declining, or the changing times, where audiences just don’t have the attention spans they used to. In the past, shows used to go on for many seasons, releasing episodes once a week, and could still hold their audiences’ attention.
