The UAE mourns the death of Shaikh Saqr Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, the late ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. Several events have been cancelled or postponed as a sign of respect:

Burjuman Pink Walkathon
The walkathon, scheduled on October 29, has been postponed to November 5. Registered participants can call 04 3520222 for any queries.

Caramel Halloween Party
The Caramel Halloween Costume Ball at the Caramel Restaurant & Lounge in Dubai  has been cancelled. The event was scheduled for October 31.

Salam Ya Quds
The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation has cancelled the charity concert Salam Ya Quds, which was scheduled for October 28. Ticketholders who have purchased through TimeOutTickets.com will be offered the options of either receiving a full refund or donating the cost of tickets purchased to the charity A Child A Promise in aid of the children of Palestine. Those who purchased tickets from Emirates Palace are requested to visit the Salam Ya Quds ticket desk on Thursday from 3pm to 7pm. UAE Excellence Award
The ceremony for winners of the UAE Excellence Award for Government Performance, which is under the Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Government Excellence Programme, has been postponed until further notice.

Skyline University College's 20th graduation ceremony
The graduation ceremony has been postponed until further notice.

Dubai Cares Arabic comedy show
The Arabic comedy show Laugh with Wonho Chung by Dubai Cares has been postponed until further notice. The show was scheduled to take place on Thursday.

Ferrari World opening
The opening of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has been postponed as a mark of respect to Shaikh Saqr. The new date for the opening will be announced shortly.

Toys “R” Us fancy dress competition
The Toys “R” Us fancy dress competition scheduled for Oct 29 & 30 has been cancelled.

Modern Bride Exhibition & Fashion Show
Dubai Ladies Club's Modern Bride Exhibition & Fashion Show has been postponed until next Saturday, 6th November, 2010.

F1 Fan Zone

Official F1 Fan Zone will be open from 17:00 hours -0:00 hours midnight on Thursday 28th October.

Opening times for the F1 Fan Zone will be Sunday – Thursday: 17:00 hours-0:00 hours midnight and Friday - Saturday: 17:00 hours- 1:00 hours
