Dubai:  It’s raining millions and luxury rides in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

Two Indians have just turned themselves millionaires after hitting the grand prizes in two separate lotteries held in UAE, while three other expatriates will be driving home a luxury car and two BMW motorbikes.

The prizes, totaling more than Dh10 million, are being given away by two of the UAE’s biggest lottery draws, Big Ticket in Abu Dhabi and Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire.

Tojo Mathew from India was declared as the latest winner of the Dh7 million jackpot of the Big Ticket draw, while   Naresh Kumar bagged the $1 million (Dh3.6 million) jackpot in the Dubai Duty Free promotion.

Mathew's winning ticket, bearing numbers 75171, was randomly drawn from the thousands of coupons sold by Big Ticket in June 2018.

Seven other draw participants from Pakistan, Kuwait and India are also going home with minor cash prizes at Dh100,000 each.

Dubai Duty Free

Meanwhile in Dubai, Dubai Duty Free is also giving away a luxury car and two motorbikes to three other lottery participants.

Abeer Emaj Othman, a Dubai-based expatriate from Syria, will be driving home a Porsche Panamera 4. The 23-year-old bought the lucky ticket on her way to Paris for a holiday.

 

The two motorbike winners are Motaz Al Souqi, a Sudanese national based in Saudi Arabia and Leonardo Reate, a Dubai based Filipino expat. Souqi will be driving home a BMW S 1000 R, while Reate won a BMW R Nine T.
