Dubai Marina: The most Instagrammable marina in the world

With attractions like Ain Dubai and high-street shopping, Dubai Marina is a must-visit

    Dubai Marina
Dubai Marina was voted the most Instagrammable superyacht marina by comparethemarket.com recently, based on Instagram data. Taking the crown, the area is known for being a picturesque spot of skyscrapers, blue waters, and swanky restaurants, and it’s no surprise that Dubai Marina received over 3.9m posts on the gram. In second place is the stunning Marina Del Rey (USA), followed by Marina di Porto Cervo (Italy). Image Credit: shutterstock

Ain Dubai: Adding to the attractiveness of this swanky Dubai gem is the latest new opening – the record-breaking Ain Dubai. The much talked-about observation wheel opened to the public in October and it has turned out to be a huge draw among residents and visitors alike. Offering a 360-degree, panoramic view of Dubai and its skyline, this engineering marvel is yet another addition to Dubai Marina. If you are feeling particularly celebratory this Diwali, head to the island early and enjoy a ride on the world’s tallest observation wheel, Ain Dubai. The fireworks begin to crackle at 8.30pm on November 4. Image Credit:

    Flying Cup
The Flying Cup is a great place to try: When we think about Dubai, we frequently think of one-of-a-kind luxury experiences that are not available anywhere else. The Flying Cup is such a memorable experience. You'll be lifted several meters into the air for a spectacular perspective over Dubai Marina. You're stranded in a sort of bar where chefs create a snack or perhaps a full meal for you. Image Credit: Shutterstock

    Dubai Marina Mall
High-street favorites are available for purchase: With a children's play area, outstanding cuisine, and an edit of essential high-street brands including H&M, Cos, River Island, and Monsoon, the Dubai Marina Mall is a neighborhood favorite for shopping. It's a great area to browse and shop at your leisure, even if it's busy, especially on weekends. Image Credit: GN Archive

What better way to see the beautiful waterways of the area than on a cruise? Captain Jack will take you on a classic dhow ride across Dubai Marina's canals. The cruise leaves the Marina Promenade every hour and can be joined at any time of the day. The unexpectedly spacious ship allows passengers to relax on bean bags while it meanders through the area, showcasing the area's wonderful architecture and beauty before arriving on the fringes of Palm Jumeirah island. Jumeira Beach Residence
Looking almost like a separate city, Dubai Marina consists of hundreds of high-rise towers around a marina. There’s a lot going on here, including some of Dubai’s best dining and nightlife options, including a lot of sensational spots right on the beach, in the fittingly-named development The Beach, right by Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR). Walking The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence: The Walk is a first of its kind shopping experience in Dubai. It is the first outdoor seaside retail avenue. The Marina Walk, a seaside paved promenade with 305 retailers and 69 eateries, will keep you occupied – and active, since exploring the entire area containing seven kilometers of pedestrian walkway will take you a full day. Stroll along Marina Walk, catch a water taxi – or go jet-skiing, parasailing or skydiving. For accommodation, try The Address Dubai Marina, attached to Marina Mall, or the InterContinental, next to JBR. Image Credit: Gulf News Archive

    Jumeirah Beach
Jumeirah Beach is the beach area, and it has beautiful views of the Arabian Gulf. After a few hours of wandering, you'll be hungry around lunchtime, or maybe even brunch, so stop by popular restaurants like Coco's, Zaatar w Zeit, and Ruby Tuesdays. Remember that many of the restaurants in this area cater to a wide range of cultures and ages, and they may not serve alcohol. Hotel bars and grills, on the other hand, serve house beverages. Open air Cinema, Dubai Mall
Little Explorers, an edutainment refuge for children aged two to seven, is particularly worth visiting for families with young children. Seasonal activities such as street carnivals, al fresco movie screenings, and music festivals take place in the mall's outdoor area. Image Credit: Gulf News archives

    Wake Board Jumeirah Beach
With paragliding, wakeboarding, and banana boat rides aplenty, as well as the world's largest inflatable water park, the waterways are alive with aquatic activity. However, you may always rent a sun bed and lie down, or take a leisurely camel ride along the beach. Image Credit: Gulf News archives

    Open air markets
Families may enjoy shaded play spaces, organized street festivals, open-air cinema, and pop-up vendors throughout the year, while foodies travel to Dubai Marina for sky-high restaurants with stunning water views Image Credit: Gulf News Archive
