The third edition if the LVMH Watch Week is here and the group is showcasing its watchmaking prowess through the Maisons that have gathered to display their exceptional savoir-faire. Held from January 24 to 28, the event saw brands such as Bulgari, Hublot, Tag Heuer and Zenith Watches reveal their latest creation to clients.

The grand reveal happened on January 24 and features distinctive designs from the aforementioned brands. The digital show will include several presentations and events and will be supported by smaller, physical events in key markets.

Naturally, the event is more than a display of timepieces, it is in fact a celebration of the delicate and meticulous craft of creating them. With a resolutely artisanal dimension all brands in attendance have pushed the boundaries.

Bulgari, for instance, launched Piccolissimo, a leap in micro technology featuring one of the smallest existing mechanical movements, while their Lvcea plays with the light rippling across its new pink mother-of-pearl and aventurine dials sculpted in relief so as to capture it to perfection. Bulgari also brought to life the concept of ‘Time is a Jewel’ with the arrival of a new Octo Roma Grande Sonnerie.

Tag Heuer, the Swiss watch-maker launched three new Autavia models – these were an ode to the model's 60th anniversary. In a first for the collection, there was a flyback chronograph and three-hand GMT.

Zenith, meanwhile, with its DEFY 21 Chroma, demonstrates precision through light and colours. Finished in matte white ceramic case, which reveals a refracted rainbow spread and open dial and movement, it is indeed a special timepiece, worthy of the event.

Finally, Hublot made a statement this LVMH Watch Week as it harked back to its essence of precious metal and rubber to create a watch that is sporty yet aesthetically distinct. The brand launched six new models, each an ode to the company’s heritage. Take the Classic Fusion Chronograph. It is for the first time Hublot has created it in gold and in a diameter of 42 mm. Featuring a self-winding bicompax, it is elegant yet noteworthy.
