The premiere of And Just Like That…, the re-boot of one of the biggest sitcoms in television history – Sex In the City -- had its launch yesterday night, December 8. Streaming on HBO Max, the revival follows the story of New Yorkers Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York.
Now in their 50’s, the series will follow the evolution of the three main characters. While there are new additions to the mix to represent diversity of New York. The story hits several real-world events including the Covid-19 pandemic
The premiere in New York was a glamorous affair with Sarah Jessica-Parker hitting the red carpet in a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta custom pewter silk chiffon cocktail dress with magnolia hand embroidery and matching cape, with a blush tulle underskirt in a nods to her iconic character.
Actor Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte York Goldenblatt in the series, meanwhile, donned a custom Jason Wu dress for the premiere in NYC. Her accessories included Fred Leighton jewellery, Tyler Ellis bag and Jimmy Choo shoes.
The first two episodes of the series aired last night with another eight in the pipeline until February 3, 2022 when the mini-series concludes. Predictably, the details of the storyline are a closely guarded secret, however, fans can expect an experience similar to their favourite sitcom.
New episodes will be aired on Thursday every week on HBO Max. And Just Like That... is exclusive to HBO Max.
