The famed Al Serkal Art Week is back. Running from November 7 to 20, 2021, it is the demonstration of spectacular installations, thought provoking exhibitions and much more. Open from 10 am to 10 pm it is the best time to visit Dubai’s hub of creativity and stimulate your senses.
For instance, Praxis of Change which is a manifesto that runs until November 24 is an ode to saving the planet in a collective manner. It’s about the choices we make and what we can do to contribute towards conversation. Launched under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Cabinet Member, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Firetti Contemporary’s Inaugural show will display work by regional artists, along with artists who are displaying their creations for the first time in the region.
Then, there is the celebratory intervention Homecoming, the project will showcase three art works by Lakwena Maciver: Lift You Higher and Just Passing Through, which will be displayed at the pedestrian entrance. Finally, The Best is Yet to Come embellishes the outer facade on the corner of 17th Street and First Al Khail Street in Dubai. These are part of the guest projects.
Furthermore, there is the Olivier Award-Winning comedy production The Play That Goes Wrong, which has now come to Dubai. It is a curious mix of what one might expect to go wrong doing just that. The play is on from November 18 to 20.
