Talal Al Najjar, one of the featured artists, shared insights into the collaborative process, stating, “We came together for a 4-week residency, creating new works on-site and engaging in constant discussions, re-evaluations, and further conceptualization of our ideas and the larger show. It was an enriching experience for all of us, emphasizing the importance of artistic dialogue. Our distinct practices converged on numerous themes and interests, fostering a collective approach to shaping this exhibition. Nature, the artificial, the human body, time, histories, alternative perspectives, cultural heritage, and more are woven throughout the show in various ways.”

The "Postmordial Soup" exhibition welcomed visitors to an otherworldly realm, crafted through the amalgamation of cross-dimensional mediums, including video, sound, and more. This extraordinary artistic endeavor delved into the very origins of life, prompting reflection on the influences that have shaped our contemporary world. With their distinctive approaches, the artists explored themes such as time, the fusion of past and future, and the intricate connections between the digital, physical, and natural realms. The result of a recent artist residency in collaboration with ICD Brookfield Place's Art Program, this thought-provoking body of work offered a visually stunning and intellectually stimulating experience.

Ziad Al Najjar provided his perspective on the exhibition, “I believe this exhibition highlights a dialogue that blends various elements of nature, organic forms, the human body, and technology, with an underlying sense of absurdity and uncanniness. I intentionally infused my work with an ethereal yet familiar ambiance, envisioning an inner space where my work exists—a sacred, womb-like space, the first space we ever become familiar with. The pieces are visceral, akin to a womb, but perhaps even an alien womb. Collaborating with Talal and Miramar, we've created a world imbued with color, light, and darkness.”

Miramar Al Nayyar shared her thoughts on the creative process, saying, “The piece played with my mind. As the puzzle gradually evolved, it became more of a mental challenge than a straightforward painting task. I embraced this disruption unknowingly due to my impatience; I was too curious to see the initial few pieces in disarray before finishing the entire painting, which ignited the disruptive element in the process.”
