Dubai: The World Memon Organisation (WMO) Middle East, in partnership with PepsiCo, is providing iftar for 2,500 labourers and under-privileged residents everyday this Ramadan, aiming to reach a total of 60,000 people by the end of Ramadan.

The meals are provided in iftar tents near labour housing areas in Dubai Investment Park and Al Muhaisnah.

Mahmood Shaikhani, chairman of the Ramadan Camp Committee and secretary-general of the WMO, said: “The WMO endeavours to promote education and rehabilitation through numerous welfare projects, which help to alleviate circumstances those that are less fortunate around the world. This Ramadan we are overjoyed to partner with PepsiCo to distribute 60,000 iftar meals to those in need in Dubai, as yet another example of a reputable multinational corporation advocating and offering steadfast support to the global humanitarian endeavours of the World Memon Organisation.”

WMO Middle East a registered body at Dubai’s International Humanitarian City. The WMO has been involved in various community development activities across the globe, including assisting in the field of education, healthcare and refugee aid programmes.
