The Dubai Mall aquarium and underwater zoo will continue to host the one-of-a-kind underwater ‘Summer is Dubai’ event until September 7.
The underwater fantasy has been attracting huge crowds around the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo at the mall who come to watch ‘The Mermaid Show’. The show, which is performed by highly talented artistes including some Olympic synchronised swimming medallists, also includes an act performed in the mall’s 10-million litre Dubai Aquarium tank, the largest suspended aquarium in the world.
The Mermaid Show presents an underwater fantasy story told through mermaids and mermens played by talented performers who swim to a perfectly choreographed dance. The show is directed and choreographed by former USA Olympic head coach for the USA synchronised swim team, Stephan Miermont.
The show is held thrice daily at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm featuring live mermaids swimming with sea creatures in an exotic marine environment that houses thousands of aquatic animals, comprising over 140 species including over 400 sharks and rays.
