Dubai: The Dubai Mall is marking the 41st UAE National Day with a range of cultural and educational events including several fountain shows that will serenade to the UAE National Anthem daily during the national holiday period.
The Dubai Fountain, the world’s tallest performing fountain, overlooking the Waterfall Promenade, will dance to the UAE National Anthem at 1.30pm, 6pm, 8pm and 10.30pm everyday until December 3.
Celebrating the national day under the theme the ‘Spirit of the Union,’ cultural performances by Harbiya Band will also take place daily at the Grand Atrium and Souk Atrium from 5pm to 10pm. Visitors will be able to enjoy the soothing melody of the oud, qanoon and piano players at the mall’s Fashion Avenue.
Among other key attractions at the mall, the UAE Ministry of Culture, Youth & Community Development is presenting an exhibition on the ‘Spirit of the Union’ at The Waterfall Atrium until December 3. Meanwhile the Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIAST) will showcase a model of DubaiSat 2 to highlight the advances made by the nation in the space industry, at the Treasury Dome until December 6.
Hamdan International Photography will also present a photo exhibition on the UAE until December 10 at Grand Atrium, meanwhile Sougha, a Khalifa Fund initiative, will host a ‘Get your Sougha’ event until December 6. The event will offer visitors the opportunity to purchase genuine designers inspired by Emirati heritage.
The mall will be decorated with UAE national flags while guest service staff, dressed up with flag colours pins and scarves will give away UAE-themed memorabilia to visitors. It will also host hospitality tents providing coffee and dates to visitors at the Fashion Avenue and Grand Atrium entrance.
During National Day celebrations, the mall will offer extended hours on weekdays on 29 November, and December 2 and 3 from 10am to 1am and on weekends on November 30 and December 1 from 10am to 3am.
