Al Majaz Waterfront and Al Qasba to feature different events for Eid
Sharjah – From music shows to firework displays, Sharjah will be hosting several activities in celebration of Eid Al Adha at its popular tourist destinations.
A three-day celebration is set to take place at Al Majaz Waterfront including a fountain show titled ‘Ahmad Al Majaz’ based on Ahmad the turtle, along with a spectacular fireworks extravaganza on October 15. Traditional Emirati bands such as Harbeya, Ayala and Laiwa will also perform daily during the three days of Eid at the waterfront.
“Throughout our various events and festivities we have tried to highlight the true meaning of Eid, including giving and sharing, and the value of celebrating with those dear to us,” said Mohammad Fadil Al Mazroui, Manager of Al Majaz Waterfront.
Al Qasba will also host a line up of shows, workshops, activities, and a fireworks display during October 15-19.
The five-day celebration will feature the cartoon character Pingu the penguin who will carry out several activities on the Fun Fitness Pingu Stage Show. The area around Etisalat Eye of the Emirates Wheel is also set to be transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with a ‘falling snow zone’ that will be filled with icy white swirls and a chance to meet Pingu.
Other activities for children will include face painting, a photo booth, and several arts and crafts workshops. A firework display is also set to take place on the first day of Eid at 10pm.
