Sharjah: Sharjah Contact Centre of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) announced its new 24/7 service on Sunday.

The new service aims at activating communication with the public through different channels, including the toll-free number 80080000, 24 hours a day. It seeks to meet users’ needs through answering their calls and responding to their inquiries about events in Sharjah.

The announcement was made at a press conference at the centre’s headquarters in Khorfakkan. Present at the press conference were Shaikh Sultan Bin Ahmad Al Qasimi, chairman of Sharjah Media Council, Tarek Allai, director of SGMB; Khalid Omar Al Naqbi, director of Sharjah Contact Centre; among other officials from various Sharjah government entities.

Speaking on the occasion, Shaikh Sultan said that the 24-hour communication service helps support government entities towards enhancing their communication with the public inb determining their needs, which reflects on the quality of work in accordance with the directives of His Highness Dr Shaikh Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

Allai said the new service helps save time and effort and respond to the public’s needs.
