Gulf News reader Kinan Echtay took this quirky shot of camels in the desert, of Dubai. The health, safety and environment manager said: “In the evening, when I drove up to them, the camels were seeking out food. They stopped when I raised my camera and curiously stared at my lens. It looked like they were posing for the click!”

Reader Rojy A. Varghese captured this photograph in Abu Dhabi, and said palm trees full of ripening dates were a herald or a sign. He said: “I think dates in the UAE have many meanings. They show that summer is here. It also means that Ramadan is here!”
