Dubai Municipality’s 36th plantation week comes to an end

Al Mankhool park, which cost Dh3.92 million to build, was inaugurated on Thursday in the presence of Maj Gen Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner’s Affairs.

The park, which spans a hectare, was opened by Dubai Municipality on the last day of its 36th Plantation Week, bringing the total of new parks opened during the plantation week to five. The park has children’s playing areas, two football fields, one volleyball court, greenery, toilets, a plaza and a running track. Plants planted at the new park include Washingtonia, Delonix regia and Jacaranda, to name a few.
