Dubai: Another avid fan of lottery draws has hit the jackpot in Dubai and this time, the lucky participant comes from Lebanon.
Organisers of the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire announced on Tuesday that Antoine Labaki, a 45-year-old Lebanese national, is the latest winner of $1 million (Dh3.6 million).
The businessman has been buying Dubai Duty Free tickets for the past four years. The last ticket he purchased online, bearing numbers 3277, finally landed him the great fortune.
“Buying a ticket online to win $1 million has become a habit for me for the past four years. Nonetheless, I was a little unsure when I received a phone call from Dubai Duty Free today. It was not until my details were read over the phone that I started to believe that I indeed became a millionaire. Thank you Dubai Duty Free, this win will go a long way in growing my business,” he said.
Labaki has three children and runs a construction business. He is the 11th person from Lebanon to hit the jackpot.
