Fujairah: Fujairah Police has strongly denied rumours that has been spread on social media regarding the arrest of workers who worked at Mandi Resturant for selling dog meat.
Fujairah Police requests the public not to spread such rumours and to seek news from official sources.
On Sunday night, Fujairah Police took to Twitter to negate the rumours and called on members of the public to obtain information only from official sources.
Lieutenant Colonel Dr Saeed Al Hassani, Director of Media and Public Relations Department in Fujairah Police told Gulf News that legal action will be taken against whoever spreads such rumours.
Police have previously said that rumours that could cause confusion among the public and lead to destabilisation of the country's security will be dealt with severely and the groups or individuals who initiate such kind of messages will be indicted.
