Sharjah: Bus users in Sharjah can now enjoy free Wi-Fi access at Al Jubail Bus Station and across 50 buses operating between Sharjah’s different cities, it was announced on Sunday.
Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said the services are being offered in order to meet the needs of the public and provide best services to public transport users.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Buraimi, Technical Services Department, Director of Information Technology Department, said the initiative seeks to encourage the use of public transport and make it an enjoyable experience for citizens, expats and visitors.
“The service allows public transport users and visitors to the Jubail station enjoy free internet access and browse various sites,” he said.
He added that Sharjah RTA seeks to transform all its services into smart ones in line with the UAE Government’s vision for a comprehensive digital transformation and in line with the country’s 2021 vision.
