Dubai: Dar Al Ber Society has signed an agreement with Zulekha Healthcare Group in Sharjah and Dubai and Alexis Hospital in India to secure free treatment for low-income patients.

The move is in line with 2017 being declared as the Year of Giving, and in accordance with the concept of social responsibility, said Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, executive director of Dar Al Ber.

“The Zulekha and Alexis hospitals shall provide free, high-quality medical services for destitute and low-income patients with kidney failure and other diseases across the country,” he added.

Special discounts

As per the agreement signed by Al Falasi and Taher Shams, executive director of the Zulekha Healthcare Group, special discounts from 10 to 25 per cent shall be given to the patients referred by the Dar Al Ber Society, particularly those on dialysis treatment.

Dr Zulekha Iqbal Daud, owner of the Zulekha Healthcare Group, said they are very keen on cooperating with all the charity and civil society entities across the UAE.

“We are passionate about reaching out to vulnerable patients to ease their suffering in the Year of Giving as directed by the prudent UAE leadership,” Dr Daud concluded.
