Dubai: Eid musallas in Dubai are gearing up to welcome believers for Eid Al Adha prayers.

Dubai Municipality Waste Management Department has completed the cleaning operations at Eid musallas as part of the civic body’s preparations for Eid Al Adha celebrations, said Abdul Majeed Abdul Aziz Al Safaie, the director of the Department.

In a press release issued on Monday, Al Saifaie said that the Department has completed all its preparations for the Eid celebrations by formulating an integrated plan to implement the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the emirate around the clock.

“The plan included special arrangements for the collection and transportation of waste, harnessing the fleet of waste collection equipment and trucks, increasing inspection and cleaning teams, in addition to creating emergency teams that work in three shifts a day.”

Al Saifaie said the teams will be equipped with all technical and safety tools to deal promptly with the complaints and reports received from the customers. They will also conduct public awareness programmes on the importance of maintaining cleanliness of the areas and safe ways of waste disposal.

He also appealed to the members of the community to cooperate with Dubai Municipality to maintain cleanliness through safe practices and to abide by Municipality regulations. Residents have also been urged to avoid attracting actions for violations as per the provisions of the Local Order No. 11 of 2003 on Public Health and Community Safety in the Emirate of Dubai.

Al Saifaie added that in case of emergency, public can contact Dubai Municipality through its Call Centre number 800900 and Waste Management Department offices spread over various areas of the emirate.
