Canada’s McGill University offers fellowships to UAE students

Fellowships are open to Emiratis as well as expatriate residents

Dubai: McGill University, ranked No 1 in Canada and 30th globally, has launched the McGill-UAE Fellowships to be awarded to exceptional Master’s and PhD students from the UAE to pursue advanced studies in any science, technology, engineering and mathematics discipline offered at McGill University.

The fellowships are open to UAE nationals as well as expatriate residents, said Laurens Verkade, UAE Programme Manager, McGill University, during a presentation at Canadian University Dubai (CUD). Each McGill-UAE fellow would receive up to C$52,500 (Dh146,045) to cover tuition and living expenses.
